THE LOGO

The active or regular and reserve forces make up the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Both forces, as solid pillars of the Philippines’ territorial defense, have been working together in times of peace, crisis, and war. It is acknowledged that both have their own strengths, capabilities, and skills that they contribute to the AFP. The 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division (7ID) seeks to further this alliance, as portrayed in the 7ID-tweaked logo, by strengthening their interoperability through individual contribution that reinforces each other’s strengths and supports each other in filling the gaps. While of different expertise, they are both robust members of our armed forces who are able to complement each other’s roles.

Who we are. The regular and reserve forces are depicted in this logo as narra-like pillars that stand strong, staunch, and upright, darkened in color to show that they are unbent with time. The wood narra is used not only as a national symbol but also as a tree endemic to the 7ID area and known to be one of the hardest and sturdiest wood in the country.

What we do. The interoperability log intertwines both forces to demonstrate cooperation and a stronger AFP in our area. It is lighter in color to denote its full potential to shine as a beacon of stability and competence. It likewise enhances its novelty and the strong determination to jointly become a reliable force, being able to operate in conjunction with the other forces, that aim to create and sustain an environment to nurture an AFP that is ready to respond to challenges. The firm handshake shows mutual respect and the acknowledgment that though they have different active duty status and tasks, they are both members of the armed forces, share the same purpose, look in the same direction, and are guided by the same love and passion for our country.
